Everyone is welcome here at Bramhall United Reformed Church
This is us – and we’d love you to join us! – Everybody Welcome
When we say “everybody welcome” we mean it. Irrespective of your age, ethnicity gender or sexuality, we aim to offer a home here. It is our goal on Sunday mornings to offer a menu of services right from the very young (with craft activities every week) to the more thinking and reflective. We ask hard questions about what it is to be a Christian in today’s world. With this in mind, we (with our sister church in Cheadle Hulme), elected in 2013 to become licensed for conducting civil partnerships on our church premises and, together with folk who have joined us from very different theological backgrounds, we now offer a diverse and accepting place for people of differing lifestyles backgrounds and cultures, and we hope that you will support us in this aim.
If you are reading this and wondering about joining us…we hope you will! We warmly invite you to bring your own ideas and faith – and pray that in getting to know each other, we will all move a little closer to God.
In our congregation you will find people of all ages and from many places. Although we come from various backgrounds, we arebound together by a common allegiance to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. We think of ourselves as a family, ready to offer love, care and support to young and old alike. And the door is kept open so that the neighbours know they are welcome to come in! A wide range of activities gives everyone a chance to make friends and become involved in what is happening. We are always looking for new and effective ways of helping the community to find hope, encouragement and individual freedom. To this end we work with all the other churches in Bramhall to provide a living and trustworthy witness to the truth. At the same time, through the channels of Christian Aid and other agencies we participate in Christian mission and caring throughout the world.
